Lexington SC GOP Chair Power-Grab Goes Awry, The Battle Continues

On this episode we delve into the convoluted mess that has become of the Lexington County Republican Party since a power-starved petty tyrant decided rules don’t matter, only power. We take you through Pam Godwin’s latest failed attempt to escape accountability by falsely claiming a properly scheduled meeting (where she was censured and asked to resign) was illegitimate, scheduling her own special meeting for the same date and time.

The Lexington County Republican Party Censured Chairwoman Pamela Godwin For Numerous Causes, And Demanded Her Resignation At Their Legitimate, Previously Scheduled Meeting On August 7th

This comes days after she closed the county party’s bank account unilaterally after improperly attempting to remove the treasurer without the consent of the Executive Committee or Steering Committee, as required by party rules. (photos below show the turnout of each meeting, proving that the chair has lost the support and trust of the party.)

Godwin Called A Competing, Illegitimate Meeting At The Same Time, No Quorum Existed, No Less Than 5 Of The People Pictured Here Are Non-Voting Members. She Has Since Declared That, At This Meeting, She Decided To Suspend Various Elected Officers From Their Positions.

The Legitimate Lexington Meeting On The Same Date & Time Had Over 70 People In Attendance, And Nearly Double The Necessary Voting Members To Constitute A Quorum.
